Task-based metrics:

Behavioral metrics:

  • Conversion rates
  • Abandonment rates

Standardized Instruments

Validated instruments like SUS provide:

  • Comparability: Industry benchmarks exist
  • Reliability: Consistent results across studies
  • Validity: Measures what it claims to measure

Each instrument measures specific constructs. SUS measures perceived usability; NPS measures recommendation intent. Understanding what each measures—and what it does not—prevents misinterpretation.
