Über Busch Labs
Die Wissenschaft hinter der Strategie.
Most research falls into one of two traps. Long timelines, heavy overhead, and findings that arrive after the decision has already been made. Or self-serve tools that move fast but leave you with unverified respondents and data no one trusts enough to act on.
Most accept this as a tradeoff.
We don't.
Busch Labs sits in the middle. A research platform built for speed and scale, run by a team with 15+ years in behavioral science and applied research. We built our own participant panel with identity verification at three levels, frequency limits, and fair compensation. Because sample quality is where most research quietly falls apart. And every study is designed and interpreted by researchers, not just processed by software.
We've published peer-reviewed research, built psychometric instruments, and run over a thousand moderated sessions. We know what rigorous research looks like. We also know that rigor alone doesn't matter if findings never reach a product decision. So we built the infrastructure to make sure they do.
We use AI wherever it genuinely improves speed or consistency. But every automated step is monitored by the team, and the parts that require nuance, judgment, and quality control stay human. That's not a philosophy statement. It's how the platform is built.
Unser Forschungsansatz
We don't default to one method. Every study starts with the research question, then we select whatever answers it best — surveys, interviews, usability tests, diary studies, or combinations. Psychology training means we know when each method is appropriate and when it isn't.
Sample quality matters more than speed. Our panel participants are identity-verified at three levels — Verified, Confirmed, and Known. We enforce frequency limits (max one study per month for consumers, one per quarter for B2B) to prevent professional respondents.
We design studies with statistical rigor: appropriate sample sizes, proper randomization, validated instruments where available. We've published peer-reviewed research on measurement — the rapid UX-score, persuadability scales, gamification types. We hold the same standards in applied work.
AI accelerates our recruiting, screening, and initial analysis. Human researchers design the studies, moderate qualitative sessions, and interpret findings. AI handles the repetitive parts so we can spend time where it counts.
Every deliverable ends with strategic recommendations, not data dumps. Prioritized, contextualized, ready for decision-making.

Marc Busch
Marc Busch is the researcher behind Busch Labs. A psychologist by training with 2,000+ academic citations, Marc has spent his career jumping between behavioral science, product development, and whatever seemed like the most interesting problem at the time. Research institutions, game studios, enterprise clients, startups that needed someone to tell them why their prototype wasn't working and what to do about it. He teaches research methods at universities, is the author of “UX Research: Building Blocks for Impact in the Age of AI,” and is a warrior of data quality when it comes to samples and research tools. He only wants to serve the best.
